Sharepoint
conference.
I have been
working on making an internet bank
running under .Net and Microsoft
Sharepoint 2007 for the last year or so.
Sharepoint 2007
(or MOSS - short for Microsoft Office
Sharepoint Server) has really gained
momentum, and in many ways it is a great
product.
So it is with
great pleasure, that I have the chance to
visit this years Sharepoint conference in
Seattle, Washington, USA. This years
Sharepoint Conference runs from March 3.
to 6, 2008.
I'm really
looking forward to going to the
Sharepoint conference, and especially the
opening key note by Bill Gates. And I'm
looking forward to seeing the US again -
as you can see from my curriculum
vitae, I
lived in the US some years ago.
I'll take some
pictures, and make a blog entry when I'm
back from the Sharepoint conference. -
And if you're going, please send me an
email - and maybe we'll meet at the
sharepoint conference...

conference in Seattle:
As promissed, here
are a few notes and pictures from the
conference.

note speach was held by Bill
Gates in front of appx. 2500
people. Fortunately I got to see
Bill Gates live. Some only got to
see him on screens in overflow
rooms.
The guy
next to me said: Do you think
we're close enough for some of
those billions to rub off... - I
guess not, because I haven't
noticed any change. - But maybe
it takes a while before the
change kicks in...

I would have
liked to have Bill Gates -open up- tell a
bit more about what his visions about
software - the future of sharepoint- and
where the world is moving technology
wise.
5 sessions per
day, gave only 1 hour and 15 minutes per
session - which didn't leave much room
for anything else than speed talking, and
very fast slideshows. I would have liked
it better, if there had been only 4
sessions per day - giving more time to go
deeper into the various issues.
All in All, it
was a great trip to Seattle and the
Sharepoint conference in Seattle - How I
love that big crazy country over there !
