Egypt.
This is a text
about visiting / travelling to Egypt.
I'll be
travelling a lot this comming month. - As
can be seen in my other blogs, I'll be
going to a sharepoint conference in Seattle, and a .Net DevWeek conference in London in
March.
But before going
to those conferences, I had a small one
week vacation with the family taking us
to Egypt. - More specifically to
Hurghada.
As you can see
here I have had the pleasure of visiting
many countries around the world. And
well - the Arab countries, including
Egypt are - well - different...
Weather
in Egypt:
We decided to visit Egypt, because the
trip isn't too long, and because Egypt is
almost in the same timezone (+1 hour).
The last couple
of years our "winter" vacation
has tbeen to Thailand, and even though we
love Thailand, the trip is more
expensive, and because of the differences
in timezones, I'm of the oppinion, that a
trip there should last for at least 14
days.
So not being able
to take the kids out of school for that
long, we decided to try Egypt this time.
In February
however, the weather in Egypt is not as
warm as I would have liked. - I like hot
weather, sun and not having to take on a
jacket in the evening. - So even though
we were able to enjoy the sun during the
day, I wouldn't have complained if there
had been some degrees warmer.

All about the visit to Egypt:
We had a nice short vacation in Egypt. -
Some good and some not so good
experiences - but all in all it gets an
ok on the vacation list. One week is
enough I think. - Not sure we'll go there
again, but perhaps - it should just be to
see the valley of the kings.
